Moon Mama: Phase I

Originally created in June 2019 18x 24, Liquitex Heavy Body Acrylics on Canvas “Hello Moon Mama, Mother Earth, Holder of Our Existence. I honor you.” Her belly is our earth, the moon is where her heart is. The significance of the gravitational pulls of the moon on the earth relates directly to our motherly love for our children and how the impressions of mothers create tides and pulls in the lives and existences of our children. She stands peacefully in her galactical existence with the pleased expression of motherhood. After a few years of gazing over this beloved painting, of my own interpretation of a mother “goddess”, I have decided to revisit her and transform her into another phase. I am excited to share prints of the original and hope that others will look forward to seeing her grow. Everything is about growing, blooming, and learning, and so is my art.
